The details that matter before you order — from first-time buyers to recurring production runs.
What do I need to place an order?
Upload your model as an STL, OBJ, or 3MF, and the order tool renders a live 3D preview, recommends a material, and prices the job as you configure it. Any CAD package exports those formats.
What is the maximum part size?
Each part can measure up to 256 × 256 × 260 mm — roughly a 10-inch cube. The order tool checks your file against the build volume and flags anything oversized before checkout.
How accurate are the printed dimensions?
We hold a typical tolerance of ±0.2–0.3 mm. Design to your nominal dimensions; for mating features such as holes, threads, and press-fits, allow 0.2–0.3 mm of clearance, as you would for any manufacturing process. Material shrinkage is compensated in our process, so there’s no need to adjust your dimensions for it.
Do you finish or post-process the parts?
We get quality from the print itself, not from post-processing: the right material, layer height, and orientation for a clean result. Parts ship as-printed, so the fine FDM layer lines are visible, and we don’t paint, sand smooth, or coat them. We do still clean up every order before it ships — supports removed, any stray material trimmed, and the part inspected. For a finer surface, choose a thinner layer height, down to 0.1 mm, in the order tool.
What is permanent laser marking?
After a part is printed, a precision laser marks its surface with a serial number, QR code, logo, part ID, name, date, or custom artwork. It isn’t ink, paint, or a label — it’s a permanent surface mark in the part itself that doesn’t compromise the part and is tamper-proof. It’s the same kind of permanent identification used on industrial components, asset tags, and serialized hardware.
Can I preview my part before ordering?
Yes. After upload, the order tool shows a live 3D preview in your chosen material color. Rotate the model, place a mark on any face, and pricing updates as you change material, quantity, or marking. Nothing is committed until you add to cart and check out.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard production is 5 to 7 business days from order confirmation to delivery, anywhere in the US. High-volume runs may require additional time. Expedited turnaround is available at checkout on most orders.
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is a flat rate based on the box your order ships in, and it’s free on orders over $500. You’ll see the amount at checkout before you pay.
What if there’s an issue with my order?
If a part arrives damaged, defective, or doesn’t match the preview you approved, we’ll reprint or refund it. For parts with specific tolerance or surface-finish requirements, contact us before production so we can confirm we’re able to meet them.
