Low-volume production & small-batch parts
From a handful of parts to a few hundred — produced with no tooling cost and no minimum order, to consistent specs, with optional serialization so every part in the run can be traced.
When low-volume 3D printing fits
Because there is no mold or tooling to produce, a short run is economical and can begin the same week — which makes 3D printing a good fit for bridge production before tooling, end-use parts that ship in small numbers, replacement and service parts, and pilot runs of a new product. For very high volumes, injection molding can become more cost-effective per part; for the low and mid volumes in between, printing avoids the upfront tooling cost entirely.
What you get on a run
- No minimum and no tooling. Order one part or several hundred; quantity discounts are shown in the order tool before you commit.
- Consistency. Every part in a batch is printed to the same settings and inspected before it ships.
- Traceability. Parts can be serialized with incrementing numbers, QR codes, or lot codes — see serialized parts & traceability.
- Repeatable reorders. When you need the next batch, reorder the same part to the same spec.
Materials
Production runs print in any of our materials — PETG for tough everyday parts, ABS for heat and strength, ASA for outdoor durability, PLA for low-cost display and prototype runs, and TPU for flexible parts. The material guides and finder can help you choose.
Marking for production
Production parts are where permanent laser marking earns its place — serial numbers for tracking, part and revision numbers for control, QR codes for documentation — all marked into the parts as they are made, with serials incrementing automatically across the run.
How to order a run
Upload your model, choose a material, set the quantity, and add optional marking — the price and lead time update as you go, including the quantity discount. For a recurring production schedule or a tax-exempt resale account, see wholesale & resale accounts.
