3D scanning & reproduction

Send us a part. We’ll scan it and reproduce it.

No 3D file? Mail us a physical part and we’ll scan it, prepare a printable model, and reproduce it — ideal for replacements, restorations, and discontinued parts. We confirm it’s a good candidate before you pay a cent.

How it works

  1. 01

  2. 02

    Pay the $99 scanning fee

If it’s a good fit, pay the $99 scan + assessment fee. It covers scanning your part and preparing a print-ready file — no printed parts are included.

  3. 03

    Print your intake slip

We’ll show a printable slip with your reference number. Print it and drop it in the box so we can match your part to your order.

  4. 04

    Mail us the part

Pack the part securely with the slip inside and ship it to our shop (address below). We’ll return it with your order if you’d like it back.

  5. 05

We scan and email you the file

We scan the part, clean up the geometry into a print-ready model, and email you the file.

  6. 06

Order your prints with the file

Upload the file we send to the order tool for an instant price and print as many as you like — the $99 scan fee doesn’t include any parts.

What scans well

Scanning works best on parts the scanner can see clearly. A quick guide:

Good candidates

Solid, rigid parts with a matte surface and accessible features — brackets, housings, knobs, covers, and similar non-structural parts.

Harder to scan

Clear, glossy, or very dark surfaces; fine threads; deep internal cavities; and flexible parts that change shape. These may not scan accurately — we’ll let you know.

Send an intact part

A complete, undamaged sample scans far better than a broken one. Missing or worn features can’t be recovered from a scan alone.

Not metrology

Our scanning is for reproduction, not certified measurement. For tight engineering tolerances, a CAD model is the better starting point.

Where to send your part
