3D printing for product manufacturers
Consistent, small-batch end-use parts with the traceability and repeatability production needs — part IDs and lot codes marked in, the same spec on every reorder, and tax-exempt wholesale accounts for resellers.
Small-batch end-use parts
For products that sell in the low to mid hundreds, low-volume production avoids the upfront cost of tooling entirely — there's no mold to pay for and no minimum order, and per-part pricing drops as quantity rises. For very high volumes, injection molding can become more economical per part; in the volumes below that, printing is the more practical route.
Traceability and compliance
Production parts often need to be identified and traced. Permanent laser marking adds part and model numbers, lot and date codes, serial numbers, or QR codes to each part — as permanent surface marks for records, warranty, and compliance, with serials that increment automatically across a run.
Consistency and reorders
Every part in a run is printed to the same settings and inspected before it ships, and when you need more, a reorder reproduces the same part to the same spec. Choose the right material with the material guides, and design to print cleanly with the design guidelines.
Wholesale & resale accounts
If you resell or order regularly, a wholesale account lets you send a resale certificate once and order tax-exempt thereafter. The application is free.
